The EU might “respond swiftly and decisively” against what it calls “unwarranted” travel bans imposed by the United States on five Europeans involved in combating online hate and misinformation, a European Commission spokesperson has said.

EU Officials Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as the French president charged the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the visa restrictions were placed on individuals who have been central to campaigns to enact legislation regulating US-based technology firms.
